NEW IMAGES: The Dominican Republic is a nation on the island of La Hispaniola, part of the Greater Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean region. The western third of the island is occupied by the nation of Haiti, making Hispaniola one of two Caribbean islands that are shared by two countries. Both by area and population, the Dominican Republic is the second largest Caribbean nation (after Cuba) and an estimated 10 million people. The country's capital and greatest metropolitan area, Santo Domingo, is located on the southern coast. The eastern tip is home to some of the best beaches in the West Indies and it is here where Punta Cana and Bavaro Beach is situated.

Zakynthos Town

NEW IMAGES: Zakynthos (Zante) lies in the eastern part of the Ionian sea, around 20 km west of the Greek mainland and the island of Kefalonia lies 15 km on the north. Zakynthos is about 40 km long and 20 km wide. The western half is a mountainous plateau, and the southwest coast consists mostly of steep cliffs. The eastern half is a densely populated fertile plain, with long sandy beaches. The capital, which has the same name as the prefecture, is the town of Zakynthos (Zante Town) lies on the eastern part of the northern coast.

NEW IMAGES: Wroclaw Poland, the capital of Lower Silesia, is rapidly catching the attention of tourists and businessmen alike. Its perch upon the Odra river and the veritable maze of islands and bridges that make up the city have gained it the title of the "Venice of Poland".

NEW IMAGES: Since the turn of the millennium, Copenhagen has seen a strong urban and cultural development and has been described as a boom town. This is partly due to massive investments in cultural facilities as well as infrastructure and a new wave of successful designers, chefs and architects. As of 2011, Copenhagen was ranked as the 17th most expensive city in the world according to the Mercer Cost of Living Survey.

NEW IMAGES: The most Northerly shoot I have ever done took place in July of this year in the Estonian Capitol of Tallinn. Medieval Tallinn was one of the best-fortified cities in Europe. The town wall was contructed in the 14th century with 66 defense towers adorning it (today only 20 remain). Few cities have been so successful in preserving the integrity of their past and today Estonia's economy is stronger than ever, making Tallinn the model for the former Soviet territories.

Mosta

NEW IMAGES: The second shoot of 2011 took me to the Mediterranean island of Malta. With 7,000 years of history, the Maltese Islands are steeped in culture and heritage. The Islands went through a golden Neolithic period, the remains of which are the mysterious megalithic temples dedicated to the goddess of fertility. Later on, the Phoenicians, the Carthaginians, the Romans and the Byzantines, all left their traces on the Islands.

NEW IMAGES: A new year and a new season of stock shoots kicked of with a second visit to Portugal's Algarve region. On this visit I wanted to concentrate on the West side taking in historic Lagos, the inland town of Silves and several coastal villages. This proved to be the most successful shoot to date as far as The Travel Library are concerned retaining over 240 images for their website. (See link below).
